#1. Do at least 5 things to Your Website Daily. If you don't have time at least do one. More than 5 things would be ideal but I understand most of us do not have the time when we are first starting out.
#2 .Own more than one site. This helps Your chances or getting sales and or clicks. You will already have a mass of information on your site. Changing a Title of a website and or Icon is the only thing that will be needed to lay claims on more than just one domain in the virtual real-estate we all call the internet.
#3. If you are running ads from Google you will want to make sure Your content is geared around high paying Keywords. IE LOANS, GRANTS, EDUCATION, LAWYERS, ETC..
#4. Content is King. Maybe the most important rule any webmaster should know. If You don't have content and Your site isn't always fresh. Chances are Your site will fail!
#5. Scour the web for ways to boost traffic and advertise like it was going out of style. Many times You will not even have to pay to advertise on sites like Craigslist etc.. But make sure Your Links are always on top and well in site of the public view.
#6. Follow trends and innovate.
#7. When possible create things that do not exist. This may be the hardest step but if You are lucky You will have the heads up on other sites and behead of the game.
